The task was a simple game of musical chairs (although 'music' might be the wrong term for 'The Birdie Song' and 'Agadoo') but the outcome was anything but simple. The winner of the game got to live on the rich side, whilst the loser got relegated to the poor side.
The catch was, however, that the the winner and loser had to pick their housemates to live with in school-team style.

After a mini-argument when Jade seemed to push Jonny off a chair in round one, the Durham fireman graciously decided it was easier to go to the poor side rather than argue, although he didn't look thrilled about it.
The game continued, with Tim and Alex being the only two left, but Alex plonked himself on the chair first. After leaving the bedroom, Alex only realised he would have to pick the housemates' destiny when Big Brother asked him to name his first choice. Distraught, the Essex model finally decided on PJ, whom he had left on the poor side last week. Jonny countered by picking Sophie, who has yet to live on the poor side and has annoyed everyone else by 'comforting' them.
Alex then decided upon best-buddy Adele, while Jonny followed suit and picked the only other housemate not to have lived in poverty, newcomer Tim. Alex then agonised over Kate and Jade for some time. Whilst he likes Jade more than Kate, Kate had just spent a week on the poor side. Eventually, loud-mouthed jade joined Alex on the winner's table, whilst Kate reluctantly crossed the divide back to the poor side.

Winning the task can't really have improved Alex's chances in the house - it makes him a prime target for eviction (again), although PJ looked chuffed to be picked first - he is the only housemate not to have lived in luxury yet (apart from recent evictee Spencer). Read more about this week's upcoming evictions here. Tim told Alex he still thought he was 'the best person in here' and was only bothered that he had to live with Sophie for a week.
For Kate and Jonny, there's another week of cold showers and barbecue cooking, whilst the dream-team of Adele, Alex and Jade live in luxury again! But with PJ and Jade reunited, and Alex and Adele getting very friendly - will money buy the rich side more love?
