Sandy has made a break for freedom! Although he finally decided last night that he wanted to leave and informed Big Brother his decision was final, he has shinned the garden wall and made it to the roof!
Sandy has spent the last wee debating whether to do a 'Sunita' or not. He finds the house boring and also finds it hard to have conversations and get on with people he doesn't like. In a typical early morning conversation with Adele, he commented that in the real world, 'If you don't like something or someone, you walk away'.
Sandy often confided in Adele, as two were usually the first up each morning.
The divide made Sandy re-evaluate his position in the house, and his jubilation at winning the task was outlived when he realised he would be stuck with Jonny and Kate for a week, and separated from his two friends, Alex and Adele.
'Hardship brings people together, wealth draws them apart' he said, referring to the fact that the poor side of the house were all getting on than the rich side. For his nomination reasons, Sandy said Jonny was in your face whilst Kate used the men in the house to secure her position.
The housemates weren't the only problem for Sandy though, a major issue for him was boredom. As babyBROTHER have noted before, the lack of a weekly task that has to be practiced, and therefore occupies the housemates, means there is literally nothing to do. Although the rich side can have all the washing laundered, Sandy preferred to do his own, stating 'It's just another thing they take away from you, isn't it?'. Sandy famously spent an hour a day running circuits of the pool, and also taking the grass collector of the lawn mower - so that he could then spend more time raking the grass up afterwards.
So when he wasn't nominated for eviction, which he hoped and suspected he would be, Sandy told Big Brother he wanted to leave. It didn't bother him, he had said to Alex and Adele, whether he left through the front or back door; if he wanted to leave, then it was of no consequence.
But it must have been too much! Due to leave at about 7pm tonight, sandy scaled the garden trellis and made his way to the roof, where he evaded capture for almost an hour, as noted by C4 morning show RI:SE. He has since been taken in by Big Brother for 'interrogation' as they put it.
Meanwhile in other news, oblivious to the excitement outside, the house slept, and Lee confided in Sophie that he was thinking of leaving too, not sure if he could wait for Friday.
What is wrong with these housemates!? No staying power... or is this a fault of the programme-makers and Channel 4?
