Week 6 has been the week of tasks... did our campaign trigger anything off we wonder...?
After the group managed to disastrously fail the weekly task, meaning Tim was alone on the rich side whilst the poor Bedroom 2 was crammed full, babyBROTHER (and indeed the housemates) wondered if Big Brother had ever considered this possiblity. After all, it did seem quite unlikely that all but one housemate would fail to answer the questions. As Adele said, the questions asked weren't that hard - it was the pressure that made them all flounder.
A few weeks back, we ran a campaign which many of you helped with, sending e-mails to Big B to ask for tasks to be re-instated as the housemates were bored. Now we're not saying we were the sole cause... but, c'mon, what a coincidence huh? This week, the housemates had two mini-tasks to accomplish - with barely a minute to spare during the week. Whether it was babyBROTHER, the fact there are 4 housemates up for eviction , Tim on his own, or just the producers getting creative, we'll never know, but let's take a look at the two tasks...
Tim was given a challenge in response to his demands that he should have someone on his side of the house. He didn't get quite what he wanted, but it was something.
Tim was given the chance to invite a member of the poor side over to the rich side for the evening, and also the opportunity to give the rest of the poor side a hamper of food. He had to spend the day learning facts about the housemates, such as their favourite songs and most embarrassing moments.
If he got 4 out of 6 questions right, he could choose a housemate to join him. If he got more than 4 right, the rest of the poor side would also get get a hamper of food.
Tim got all the questions right and so earned the right to invite Kate over to his side for a mixed-grill dinner. Kate, spending her 3rd consecutive week on the poor side, ate with gusto, consuming the mixed grill, three-quarters of a carrot cake and most of a Dairy Milk bar, as well as 2 bottles of champagne which she shared with Tim.
The two sides then competed in a drinking game, involving spinning around and then running the length of the house. With all the food inside her, Kate soon had her head over the bowl of the rich-side toilet! As a guest, she was allowed all the benefits of the rich side for her stay, and so piled on her clothes in the bedroom to take back to the poor side, memorably falling over trying to put her trousers on under the influence...
She did also try to smuggle some chocolate back, but as ever the mean and watchful eye forced her to put it back. She returned to the poor bedroom at midnight, to greet her fellow paupers with a 'strip-show', removing her many layers of new clothing!

The housemates were challenged to make puppets of the 14 housemates and put on a 5-7 minute show detailing the most important events in the Big Brother house.
No housemate could play or make the puppet of themselves, meaning everyone had two characters. Work began in earnest, although Alex wasn't happy that Jonny was portraying him, and that the 'Wee-gate' scandal was being dredged up again. Tim also moaned in the Diary Room that the task was quite juvenile, agreeing with Adele and Alex that 'some' people would take over the story line - which Jonny did.Alex, in a slight homage to his early manic behaviour stayed up past 3am working on his Sandy puppet - perhaps wanting to make a good impression on his long-lost friend.
Kate proved a surprise star at imitating the other housemates - doing a fantastic Lynne and a 'wicked, cool man' Sunita. She even dressed up as Alex and managed to fool Adele for a second. Alex even noticed his 'bouncing' walk. By far the best of Kate's impressions was Davina, uttering her catchphrase:
'Big Brother House, this is Davina, you are live on Channel 4. Please do not swear!'
The housemates put the show on for Big Brother on Thursday and passed. No surprise, it was highly funny, with the housemates humming the Big B theme tune to open, and Geordie Jonny providing the voiceovers. Jonny's Alex puppet pranced in the house declaring 'Hay-loh, I'm Al-ex. I'm a mod-el', PJ's Jade screaming 'I fink your a buncha chipsticks' and Alex's Sandy, with a dodgy Scot accent saying 'If I don't see you lot again it'll be too soon'. Highlights featured included the 'Wee-gate sacndal', the Lee-Sophie-Adele love triangle, evictions and the divide going up.
The housemates won a games night for their troubles, with board games including a giant Jenga set (which jade was spectacularly awful at) and the word-describing game 'Articulate!'.
So a lot of goodies from Big Brother... maybe they did listen to us and finally saw the housemate's boredom, so thank you to anyone who sent an email to Big Brother.
