This week, babyBROTHER has decided to take different elements of the week and review each in turn.
THE HOUSEMATES
We were a bit disappointed level of wannabe's in the house. They seem to be playing to the cameras too much, apart from the departing members of the house, Sunita and Lynne, and possibly Alex, Kate and Sandy. Whilst Jade annoyed the hell out of us at the start, we quite like her now. Lee however still seems devoid of personality. Spencer has somehow gained the housemates respect by doing nothing all day, whilst Alison and Jonny are liked by everyone for the opposite reason - Lynne descibed them as the 'instigators' of things in the house. We don't like so-called 'lad' PJ, and Alex is nice but needs to lighten up a bit. Adele and Kate are fun girls, and Sandy is a brilliant guy. Lynne has a great accent, but didn't really fit in with the noticeably young majority and like Sunita, was perhaps a bit too gifted in the brain department to stay very long. The fact that someone left after only 6 days says a lot about the house in its current state. Let's hope they stop playing up to the cameras.
THE SHOWS
E4 is really coming into its own with the live coverage still having a mesmerising effect. We're not sure about the live task show AT ALL. It was like a bad pub quiz. there was no excitement, either for us or for the housemates. We're hoping something is going to happen about that, because a half-hour task each week will make things very dull.
Davina was on form for Lynne's eviction and really showed her empathy by snarling at the nasty crowd and quickly leading Lynne inside quickly. But what about Sunita? She left and if you don't have E4, that's it! She never even met Davina! Okay, so she chose to leave. But don't we get more than 5 minutes with Dermot O'Leary?
BIG BROTHER
Is it just us or has week one been a shambles? Jade gets locked in the Diary Room, hours after entering the house, Adele gets locked in the Wet Room, the wiring is all mucked up, delivering the wrong shopping (for example the beer the housemates ordered was 400ml cans, but instead they got half the amount of bottles. 200ml bottles at that) which appeared to have been done by a deaf-blind illiterate runner.
Not to mention the awful task-show with the worst Big Brother voice we've heard.
That's not all. How easy have the housemates had it? Hamper on Day One to celebrate going in. Heated pool. Massive shopping allowance(I mean Ben and Jerry's ice cream!). Lee's Birthday food. Hamper for Sunita's leaving. Hamper for the first eviction. They've been there just 7 days and have had more champagne than the Queen for the Jubilee! But we're thinking maybe it's all a part of THE BIG PLAN...
THE BIG PLAN
The housemates have had it very easy. Too easy if you ask us. What with all the blabber about Big B being harder this year(not yet really is it?) and the un-denied 'Heaven and Hell' house idea, we reckon Big Brother wants the housemates to get used to being very comfortable. Because then when they take it all away, things will seem much worse. That's what we reckon anyhow. It all just seems far too good to be true at the moment - the house received 3 alcohol-including hampers in week one. 3! When some people are turfed into the Hell section of the house, it's going to seem like a nightmare.
